Search results are cut on rendered width, not on a count of characters — which is why a title of sixty narrow letters fits where forty wide ones do not. This tool estimates that width and shows where the cut would fall, alongside the character count people usually track.
The widths it works to are roughly 580 pixels for a desktop title and 460 on a phone, with 920 and 830 pixels for the description.
A title that fits is one signal of many. Run a free SEO audit to see what a crawler actually reads on the live page — including whether the title and description you are previewing are the ones being served.
