Understand your technical audit
Read measured findings, prioritise fixes and verify improvements.
What the audit measures
The audit inspects public HTTP responses and page markup, including status codes, HTTPS, redirects, canonical tags, robots directives, titles, descriptions, headings, language, mobile viewport, structured data, image alt coverage and links.
A technical score summarises these checks. It is not a Google ranking score, a traffic forecast or a guarantee of indexing.
Choose what to fix first
- Check access: failed responses, incorrect redirects and unintended blocking.
- Review indexing signals: robots directives and canonical targets.
- Improve page clarity: meaningful titles, descriptions and headings.
- Review supporting signals: links, images, language and structured data.
- Re-run the same page after making changes.
Understand coverage
Some content is produced only after JavaScript runs or after a user signs in. A public-response audit may not see that content. Review the measured evidence before treating a finding as a confirmed website defect.
